VoiSona Talk Update (version 1.3.9)

"VoiSona Talk" version 1.3.9 is now available.
Please download it from the DOWNLOAD page.

Major Improvements

  • Added playback of a specified range and loop playback.
    • The playback range can be set by dragging on the ruler or by using the "Time Selection Tool".
  • Added display of the synthesized speech waveform in the background of the adjustment area (the lower pane).
  • Enhanced pronunciation and accent editing.
    • The pronunciation editing area now displays words whose pronunciation differs from the automatically generated pronunciation in a different text color.
    • The "ACC" adjustment area now shows the automatically generated accent faintly behind the edited accent.
    • Added "Reset" commands for restoring the pronunciation or accent to the automatically generated version.
  • Consolidated per-sentence file export into "Export Files per Sentence".
    • The former "Export WAV Files" command and the separate commands for exporting WAV, text, and Lab files have been combined into a single dialog, allowing all file types to be selected at once.
    • Added an option to export only the selected sentences.
  • Added "Quick Export", which exports files without opening an export dialog. (It is not shown in the menus. Use Ctrl+E to run it; the destination and other options can be configured under Preferences > Defaults.)
  • Added support for Ctrl+Arrow key navigation to the first or last row or column in the sentence list.

Main changes

  • Replaced the menu opened from the "Menu" button with a standard menu bar.
  • Renamed and reordered some menu commands to match VoiSona Song Editor, and added "Inquiry" to the Help menu for opening the inquiry form.
  • Standardized file export terminology as "Export" in the Japanese interface. The English labels are unchanged.
  • Disabled moving a sentence to a track that uses a different language.
    • Empty sentences can still be moved.
  • Changed the choices available for "Display Language" in Preferences, and changed the default to "Use System Settings".

Main issue fixes

  • Fixed an issue where sentences were placed at incorrect positions in a mixdown WAV file when the audio device sample rate was set to a value other than 48 kHz.
  • Fixed an issue where the spacing between sentences was not preserved when multiple sentences were dragged simultaneously.
  • Fixed an issue where range selection using Shift+Up Arrow or Shift+Down Arrow did not work correctly in the sentence list.
  • Fixed an issue where the zoom direction for Ctrl+mouse wheel on the horizontal scrollbar was reversed compared with the same operation in the editing area.
  • Fixed an issue where changes to the order of words in the User Dictionary were not saved.
  • Fixed an issue in the Japanese User Dictionary where half-width alphanumeric characters entered in "Representation" were not converted to full-width characters when the entry was registered by moving keyboard focus away from the field.
